multiple advancing spawns

Evening all,

As you've seen I'm in the process of making a map named dod_base, and its a rather large map which I'm hoping to make into a push map.

So I've got one set of advanced spawns working fine and now I'm trying to work out how to get some more sets working.

I've figured that the second flag/objective will have to trigger some sort of relay that will kill/disable the first set of spawns and then activate the second set of advance spawns.

But as to what exact ents need to acheive this I don't know, so I was wondering if someone could help me out?

Either an clear explanation would be good or a pointer in the right direction to a tut on more then one advanced spawn area.

Hey Sly, did you end up getting anywhere with this? Im remaking the avanti TFC map for DoDS and I need to implement this if its workable.


This is all hypothetical, Im gonna test it out tonight. I think all you gotta do is double up on the spawn points, name the frist group allied_spawn1 - axis_spawn1. Then the second set of 32 spawns allies_spawn2 and axis_spawn2. This is where im not sure, Make the second set of spawns start disabled, or off somehow. Then when the right flag gets capped, it disabled the first set of spawn and enables the second set of spawns. Now everyone spawning after the cap will use the second set of spawns, repeat as needed.

Whoa old arse thread when I was a complete mapping nub! I did end up getting it to work by having the flag's trigger another ent to tell the spawns to turn on and off.

Anyway that was for dod 1.3 or below the new way of doing things is with teleporters and the I/O system. Check google there is a tut for it out there already
