made a whole new area(just a lttle box with a sky)and this time its looking for forest wad (AGAIN I DIDNT USE ANY TEXTURES FROM THIS WAD I CHECKED 3 TIMES)but i did have it in the list of wads
took it out of the list and it still does it

this was after i totaly uninstalled hammer and reinstalled it

anyone else havin this trouble?

im about ready to give up again like when my hard drive crashed and i lost 3 weeks worth of work

I have that too with batch compiler, it happens all the time but I fix it by resetting my hl.exe path every time I load batch compiler and surprisingly that works. It's really weird tho, but try it, it works for me

ok, you need to reference the wad files you use from the dod folder, not where you have them, keep the paths standard, it causes less problems, when you compile the map only have the wad files in it that you use, otherwise it adds them all.

Get XP-cagey tools and nems v3. batch compiler, they are far better than hammer's built in compiler and XP-cagey has updated beyond that last build of zoners

Look into instructions.html (part of compiler pack) for "texture wad configuration file", try this way.
