Map intro movies

What ever happened to the little into movies for some of the maps such as glider, I really liked them:confused:

Took too many entities, they were cool, but not worth the amount they cost. I think they were removed from being possible, same with para...but not 100% sure.

I see, shame, there were some really nice ones:(

It might be better to do this in DoD:Source...

07-03-2004, 10:33 PM
Now that I would pay money to see:D

07-07-2004, 09:18 PM
Well, the way things are going, you might just have to

07-12-2004, 06:39 PM
DoD: Source will be a seperate game you have to pay for, although you get it for free with the Valve subscription thing they're having.

I'm not sure if it's my FGD or if it's actually supported, but my info_doddetect has the ability to enable respawning for either team, as well as dod_camera.

The FGD might say it, but that doesn't mean it's in the code. The FGD only allows access to code that DoD has, so if it's wrong in any way it'll not work or they could disable stuff in the code and there is no way to know without testing it yourself.

I believe you can make a seperate DoD folder in your Steam directory (where 3rd party games are) and just name it something other than \dod so make it \dod31 or something.

07-23-2004, 07:07 PM
I believe it's been removed. It requires way too many entities and they took it out.

07-23-2004, 07:49 PM
oh to bad.what software did they do to make dose intro movies

they shoudlnt of tooken it out. That made it a good game.So time relly needs spent to make a good game day of defeat is a good game now but some of the fetures the lost in 3.1.
