I'm wondering how to make a skybox. I tried making a huge box around my map but couldn't find any .wads that had sky textures. I read something about the env files but have no clue how to appy them to my "sky box" any help would be muc appreciated.

if you have wally you can browse these files to preview the skyboxes (each has 6 pictures)
they are named like
if this was the sky you wanted you would put
in the skyname option

the hlbasics.wad has the sky texture, it is called "sky" , do not edit this texture or rename it all, or it wont work, the .tga files in the dod/gfx/env folder are the sky names

u shouldnt make a box around the map, it makes r_speeds much higher than it should be.
the name "sky box" is a bad name for it because it gives the idea of a huge box.
