Weather Changing

Hey, for starters, this is really my first post on these fourms. I've been mapping for quite some time, and I've completed roughly 3-4 maps, though none of them ever really went public. (My clan enjoyed playing them, but I never released them to these fourms, or any other custom material place) ... the reasons for not going public varied from ugly looks to bad rspeeds...

Anywho, on to the question now... Alright, I thought it'd be kind of a cool addition if I added rain on my next map. I know how to do this, but I thought it'd be better if the map started without rain, and then after a specific amount of time, or perhaps after a certain location is captured, it begins to rain. I'm not that great with entities, expecially with something like this... so I was wondering if any of ya'll could help me out a bit?

I'm guessing I need to use a round_timer, multi_manager, and possibly a info_relay for the raining noise? ... along with the ambience and the dod_detect entities...

how would I set this up? And are these even the right entities to be using? Any help would be appreciated.. Hopefully, this map will be worthy of uploading too. Thanks.

hey welcome .. sorry for the late reply ;)

anyways there is no way to have the particle rain start at one point .. its controlled by the dod_detect

it can be done by sprites but the transitions will be hard and not to mention the bad looks/lag it produces
