Hey guys, i didnt understand the hlds part of madymouse, plz anyone can explain me?

i have instaled the hlds and this created the C:\HLServer folder.

I creat a shortcut for cmd.exe like the mardy house´s tutorials says, but when i go run the HldsUpdateToll.exe, dont work

why?

help me plz

The best thing to do, as I mentioned, is to go to the Steam Dedicated Server Forums and ask questions there.

Using the HLDS ain't easy.

I have tried to make it a clear as I can and using the HLDS is only one way of obtaining MOST of the mapping files. (You still don't get the sky graphics).

This is still my prefered way of doing it until a GCF extracter is made.


btw ... I used v.1.1.2.0 Steam HLDS. I suggest you use the same one.
