Could you please explain some more what doesn't work with the sprite?

And about model viewer, no, no patch and I never heared about people having problem with it....

BTW what DirectX version are you using? Are ME fully patched?

some sprites need to be set to "solid" or "additive" in the render properties. try the different ones out.

@Kehldon:
-When i open it i get: ... error in ATI09XAA.dll

I use DirX 9

-What i want for now is a flame out of a barrel with lighting and some smoke out of a chiminey.

The sprites used are from the sprite folder ( flame, smoke)

At the first try, i had the black box around the sprite toy a bit with the propertys then it vanish, delete everything, place another sprite did what is in valveERC tut, compile the sprite is still not there so i'm confused.

@theNomad:
-I read on valve erc to use glow or additive, i use the second one. In a test map it work fine but as i said in the map i'm working on, nothing.

what are the EXACT settings for you sprite? addative and too high a number will make it look like its not really there at all.

The setting are:

render fx: normal
framerate : 10.0
scale : 1

the rest : 0
