Question about the sky box

How do you create it? Is it an special type of brush or is it just 5 normal boxes (said 5 because one is already the ground). I know where to change the skybox bitmap but I can't find any information about how to create the skybox in the first place. I have searched mardymouse and valve-erc and nothing about it.
Thanks,

If ur just starting, looking for a basic test, just put a hollow box around your map and texture it to the sky texture. The sky texture is names "sky". If ur doing something serious, u must make a skintight sky to your map, and maybe a little extra.

First, thanks for moving the thread to this sub-forum, although for some reason I wasn't able to see this sub-forum until I clicked on the "Day of Defeat Editing Forums" link. Strange but you might want to take a look at it.
Second, thanks for the responses. It seems like the only attribute to make a box a "sky" is just by assigning the "SKY" texture to it whether is a box formed by multiple squares or just one hollowed.
Thanks again for the help!

Hi Carnage, can you elaborate a little more on the above comment?
Thanks,
ok this is how you make a sky
create a box room. do whatever you want to the sides, but make sure it has a ceiling like any other room.
texture it, but select all the roof brushes and cover them in the texture called "sky" this will inform HL to render sky there.
to chose whcih sky HL renders go to map proerpties and type in the name, the names cna be found in .../gfx/env the name is the first part, minus the up dn lf rt etc
eg: rubbleup rubbledn skyname rubble
eg: 12great_up 12great_lf skyname 12great_

You can also download any tutorial from http://www.mardymouse.co.uk to have a concrete example map.
