env_model appears black

I'm using "window1.mdl" as an env_model, but for some absurd reason, it appears BLACK.

I've tried sticking a LIGHT entity near the thing... that does nothing!

I've got loads of other env_models in my map, none of them have this problem.

Oh, and for those of you who've been following the development of my map DOD_BURN (use the search for the old thread), I no no longer have those stupid compile errors I was getting (hoorah). The map is nearly finished (I know, I've said that a lot). All I want to sort out is THIS, the angle of my sunlight (I've been tweaking that for a while now), and to get some stained glass in an area I'm using as a vis blocker (the classic 'Z' shape :p) to look more realistic.

R_Speeds had got a bit higher recently, but I've lowered them significantly; the average FPS on the map is 40 now (it was 15-25 last week).

Models get their light-values from the ground underneath them.
If the ground under the model is dark, the model will be too.
Also, if you have a func_wall (for example : a rubble pile) underneath the model, it will block light, so even if the func_wall is well lit, the ground underneath wont.

The ground beneath isn't black.

And dod studios is down, so my old pics are down. I do have a load of updated pics for you all... Hmmph!

Well heres ONE!!

New place for uploads... not as good as dod studios, but its a start.

Edit: OK for some wierd reason, I cant directly link to the pics. You have to search the site for them (which takes time.) Just look for a clump of stuff with DOD as a prefix under "pictures".

BTW I have no idea WTF bawbag is, but it looks like some bent rap site. Yuk!

Meanwhile, if ne1 knows of a better upload site, plz tell me!
