[Mrel] Trigger's m1 garand
This is trigger's m1 garand, a great model probably the best i've ever seen. I skinned it ( used some dod textures too ) and added a stab animation for the bayonet. Hope you guys enjoy it.
Note: This is model is both high poly and uses high-rez textures, please backup your files.

EDIT: Sorry about the origins.. that's fixed now. Also i improved th stab animation. I think its much better now.
Btw i reaceived a pm asking me permission to use this, i want everyone to know that you can use this model at your will, i think trigger is ok with it too, cuz he released so we can skin it.

Nice model, but it needs a few improvements:
Make the bayonet straight edged, instead curved. Makes it look bent in-game.
Wood textures are awful, especially around where the reciever meets the stock.
...That's it.
Otherwise, it's beautiful. Dillinger, slap your wood on!
Someone, re-do the bayo!
OMG u guys are really fast to reply. Tknx for the comments. I know the wood doesnt look that good, i've always been terrible making it, but i just love that wood color so i went for a try.
Great work man, but do you have any in-game screens?
As great as it looks in the render, in-game looks quite different.

Hey Ska, I was just about to post that problem. Can somebody please fix this?? And can someone fix the bayonet maybe? It looks a little fat on the handle, plus the blade looks bent.

i fixed the origins but not the bayonette (since im not that great of a modeler). The thing is, it doesnt look good with the animations.
Hmm. If you get a mirror for the fixed model, I can apply glimmy's anims.

Yeah, in the animations, the gun isn't thrust far enough.

Did you even try this in-game before posting it??!!
Also, there should be a little strip of metal at the end of the barrel attatching the two barrels together.
Sorry about the origins, i tough that since trigger released this as an mdl the model was fine. I fixed the origins, and improved the stab anim, it looks good now.

I tried in game, and it looks way to grey (im pretty colorblind, so bare with me my colors are off). Looks alittle non-realistic IMO. Make it more of a wood color.

i didn't kno they made garands from drift wood :rolleyes:. I suppose i'll finish up my garand when im not feeling so lazy.
I'll be working on the wood exept a release soon. I wont change the bayo cuz i wont change the model.
I like the skin alot. It looks like an M1 thats been in service for a while. (:-P) But I dont like the origins Could sombody whip up an interesting shoulder view?

I have a nice shouldered version but there is a clipping error when you use secondary. If you want it, i've got it
