dod in half life

i was just thinking that i havent played the actual half life in yrs so i was wondering is it possible to replace the smg from half life with my thompson model

if it is possible how would i do it

If you want to keep the HEV hands, it's be a little more work, but for the model itself (with dod hands), decompile the model, order the animations in the qc file as they are in HL (You might need to set the fps of these anims so that they're in sync in game), recompile, and presto, you've got your tommy gun in the game. A bit much if you ask me, but whatever.

It's not that easy mate. I've tried it and I get the floaty arms effect. This is where the weapon model floats 1 meter in front of the player. At the mo the only fix I've found is to assign the Thompson and hands to the MP5 skeleton

I remember someone made a mod like this for Counter-Strike.

It would be incredible to do this with DoD.

Imagine blasting around Black Mesa with your Garand.
