Hello all I was wondering if anyone was planning on making another weapon to replace the bren, anything without a big ass clip in the air would be great. :cool:

I might try and move the clip on my IronSighted verson to the right or something.

id like to see the brits get a vickers.
a replacement would be cool.
a new class that has a vickers would be better.

A Vicker's replacement for the Bren wouldn't be very.....realistic. I mean the Vicker's is an MG, the Bren is more like an Assualt Rifle if anything. The magazine size wouldn't be very compelling.

Well, with the lebel I did, I also made a suitable replacement for the Bren that I've had around for a long time and even showed it on the old forums, its a Chatellerault Model 1924 Light Machinegun. Before the ZB26, and before the bren, this was the gravity-feed LMG of choice. It was a very reliable weapon, but saw little service. It was the standard French LMG of WWII.

I think a Lewis would make a good replacement for the Bren, and i think it was the Bren that replaced the Lewis.

Although the pic shows a WIP model the finished gun has a bipod like the Bren, so would work well as a replacement.

Is that model available for download? I may try to replace the bren with it and see if that works. Don't know if it would tho. THat other model looks cool too, but it still has a clip in the air, if the clip was small that would be cool.
