btw thanks for the comment on the sig russ... i made it :) out of a small section of a particular episode from Family Guy DVD :) called Road to Rhode island, and brian the dog and Stewie the baby are having a sing :D best characters best episode of family guy :)

Yes, there was a norwegian SS vulunteer corps as well. I thought is was called "SS Norge" (correct me if I am wrong) and they had Regimental cuffs too, with text "Norge", "Den Norske Legion", "Legion Norwegen" and "Freiwilligen Legion Norwegen" embroided on them

I'm gettin' kinda sick of SS, but I can see the natural attraction towards them, i.e. highly detailed camo uniforms, insignias, diversity,etc.

As a norwegian I guess I should help you on this question. They were called "Frontkjempere" or "Frontfighters" in english.

A few translations too :
Den Norske Legion : The Norwegian Legion
Divisjon : Division
Skijegerbataljon : Ski-hunter-batalion (Special winter ops)
De Frivillige Politikompanier : Volonteer Police Comanies

For special interested, this site also speaks about the "Werewolves", the police companies, SS-oathes (Under informasjon -> SS-EDER), the winterwar in finland and more. Lots of interesting reading. Too bad most of it is in norwegian ;). If you really want me to and ask me nicely I might translate some of it for you, when I have the time.

Weird to think about that the norweigans actually fought on both sides of the war, although the ones fighting for the germans didn't see too much action, except for sabotage-missions by other norwegians (eg Rjukan Heavy-Water Sabotage Mission).

Btw... anyone know of a weaponmodel of the norwegian Kragh-Joergensen? For "any weapon" in DoD. Would be neat. It's a bolt action weapon.
