Can someone re-do the animations on Bot's hi-poly webley model, so that when you fire a bullet, it actually leaves the chamber it once held. It's kind of annoying to see that you have 1 bullet left in the revolver, but it shows a full clip.

Umm... Sorry mate but when you shoot a revolver, the casings don't eject. They stay in the chambers untill manually opened and taken out. Therefore there SHOULD be 6 shells in the revolver even tho u have one shot left... Then again since you might already know that, there probably won't be anyone willing to take thier time to do that because we are short of animators. Sorry buddeh. :(

Mind you though it would look much better if you see the shells eject, instead of the presernt reload anim where the webley goes out of view don't you think.

A reload animation similiar to the one in the original HL might look cool.

Like he opens it up (don't know the correct term) turns it upside down, lets em all fall out, slams another 6 rounds in and slams her back home.

Woo yeah.

Too bad I can't animate worth a hell, or I'd do it. Any weapon animating tutorials out there? All I can find is player model tuts.

I've got a nice hi poly webley including the ejection rod, once it's meshed and skinned ill see if i can find someone off the forum to make some fresh anim's showing the rod pushing the shells out, and maybe seeing the speed loader putting some fresh bullets in.

Awesome stuff Marzy, just realized you said it was high poly so nevermind (edit)

Yes it's high poly, but saying that if i was to get rid of all the unseen faces once it's finished, then it wont be high poly anymore, probably mid range, as it stands it's no more high poly then some of the other custom models kicking around.

gotta love the highpoly, and yea i was just about to suggest that original HL revolver anims.

Well i hope it's not long before you start seeing some of my british weapon models released, i know Jed said that once his finished his latest para model & released it, he's going to give us a hand meshing them, or i hope so anyway. As this is one of my weak points when it comes to the ingame modeling process...:(

I'll prolly look at a Webley to reanimate once I finish a few other projects. I'll definately think about doing that thing where the shells fall out like the default HL model.

You guys do realise the Webley is a top break revolver? That means that the top half (along with the cylinder) rotates forward and the bullets pop up and out of it. You might be able to apply the HL anims to it, but then it wouldn't reload like the Webley. :p

I think the harder you break it open so to speak, the faster the ejection rod shoots up forcing the shells out, i don't think there is any need to turn the webley revolver upside down to empty the shell casings.
