This is a semi-hackjob from my old springfield. I've put my own bolt and scope on the default stock, and retextured everything myself. There are two types of scopes to choose from, and each type comes with either a grassy wrap I've made myself, or a cloth wrap thing that Bots used on his conversion of ls3's k98 sniper. They use my new high poly hands assigned by Russ Conscript as well. (I'm working on that trenchcoat, really)

The download is a geocities account, and you need winrar to open it.

i place them in my Programfiles/DayofDefeat/dod/models folder, but it doesnt do any thing

sex ?, um one gripe, the sheath looks a bit fat , wrapped around the scope, i guess its just the eye, and the hands are a bit dark. but nothing my little programs cant fix, great job , love it over all

when i put them in the models folder, it doesnt work! What should i do?

There are three versions of each, the two kind of wraps, and one without anything on it there is a w if it's the cloth wrap, g is for the grassy wrap, if there is no letter, that means there isn't any wrap.

The m73 us the smaller scope, similar to the scope on the default springfield, only more detailed and imo better looking, these are signified by a 73.

The Unertl scope is an 8x precision sharpshooting scope used by the Marines in the pacific and pvt. Jackson in SPR that's almost as long as the rifle itself. These models are identified by a U.

Rename the file you want to use to v_spring.mdl and copy it into your model directory.

Once again, if you really wan't to see what they look like, download it and see for yourself. If that's too much for you to do, then by duce, don't download them. That'll show me.

i know what i did wrong, i didnt rename them to v_spring *Slaps self on head*

But here are my complaints.

1.The sleeves are like MC Hammer's versions of a shirt, their huge.
2.The bolt on the 73 seems a little too...big
3.On the 73w, the wrap around the scope is very thick

I didnt do the others, because I loved the plain 73.

And is there such a thing as a hand fetish? BEcause I absolutely love your hands. Great work, and I tip my hat off to you

I've finally found a great replacement for the Springfield, now if I could just find me some Thompson, Greasegun, and Pineapple grenade models that I actually like my allied custom weapons will be complete!

Edit: Just wondering, do you plan on making Pees and Wees for this really kickass model?

damn.. when i saw the title of the thread i was thinking unscoped garand replacement... someone should do a decent unscoped M1903 (not 1903A3)

Can someone re-skin this with the regular DoD Hands? It looks kinda weird when I switch weapons I switch skin color.
