The DP light machine gun was one of the first small arms designed after the 1917 in USSR. It was adopted as an standard LMG of Red Army in 1927 and served with distinction until the end of World War 2. Some 8400 captured by the Finns during WW2. It was the most usual LMG used by Finnish front- line troops during most of the Second World War.

Mg34 replacement, comes with a new sound ripped from the movie Winter War (in case anyone has a better, more realistic sound, please send it my way). Pee and Wee models next week! I'm going to the countryside now D:

Hey all,

I like a hulluva lot but it would be cool if we could have a soviet pack with players, sprites and all that stuff.

I hate having just one thing that is different to the rest of my stuff.

I'll mirror this from DoD Supply (http://www.dodsupply.co.uk) very soon as well.

I think Ripa is rather going for a Finn pack for the Axis, considering that he released a Suomi M31 submachinegun, a SKS semiautomatic rifle for the G43 and now a DP for the Mg34.

I bet weŽll soon see a Finnish Mosin Nagant variant from him.

Very beautiul gun! I'm using it.

Just one question tho.

Can you make a V-model(i think?) of it?
So you can see other players using it.

Thx

I like this gun, anims aren't bad, though it feels a little strange the way he holds it undeployed, but the deployed reload anim is good.

I wish someone would make a Russian pack for the Brits...it would be SO EASY!...

Webley: Nagant Pistol
Enfield: Mosin-Nagant
Sten: Ppsh-41
Bren: DP

Well all of those guns already exist and so would only need to be converted from 3.1

This model kicks serious ass, I absolutely love the firing sound for it. Don't worry about the animations, I think the reload is cool, I love the way he pushs the mag down once its in place.

Bloody great job!

Is it hard to make a v-model? I'm just wondering, because it would be really nice to have a v-model to :)

Edit. Sorry I mean p-model.. argh, I don't know.

Why not have a Russian pack for the Americans? You could have teh Svt-40 (or whatever it was called) for the Garand, and a scoped mosin nagant for the springfield.

Just an idea because you'd have more weapon choices.

Yeah, but would there be for the Carbine or the Grease gun. Well, the grease gun could be that other gun that was made...the P-something-43. But the carbine would be a stretch!

have a look at the russian pack that got released for 3.1 for ideas. IMO it was pretty ****, but the weapons were ok.

Can't wait for cheeto's pack though, should kick ass.
