I thought it was a snow map... That doesn't look too snowy, other than that it looks good though

Yeah wheres teh snow I thought it was gonna be a battle of the bulge map. Snow would rock but reagrdless the map looks awsome so i dont really care about snow or no snow.

Yeah, there's definitely snow in this map. The playtest was fun; this is a very nice map.

The map and playtest was great, it is not only beautiful, but a lot of fun to play. Expect a dodmaps preview sometime this week.

lol RA7 i think why you couldnt test it was because that on the server they added sometime so people couldnt dl the map. im pretty sure thats why.

I am impressed. Great work brother. How are the R_Speeds in the field?
It looks pretty good but why do the tree trunks have no snow on them?
That creates a little to much contrast

Then again, using barbwire walls or something would add to the lag.
Anyway, an idea: Of course, for high end users, maybe u could make a barbwire.mdl for them. For super high end users, make another one that is even more detailed. For low end users, the barbwire.mdl would be a blank model so it won't generate any polies at all, but they'll have to suffer invisible walls syndrome.
Nice map. Looks like lotsa action. Trees look too giant compared to the allied troops though.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but did you make the Nebelwerfer rocketlauncher yourself? And is it operational, does it work ingame like some sort of mortar?
The map is really nice. Especially the fog thats is hanging in between the trees and the overall texturing. GG :)

I got hands on with this map too. Too bad I didnt make into the playtest.
Very nice map indeed. And I don't see why ppl doesnt see snow in that map. It's full of it :D

could you please add paratroopers on the allied side??? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase??? oh yeah, about those trees glidias, i've been to bastogne and those trees were massive, even these trees are to low to compare to irl :)

yes :) thats why i made them so tall, and thanks for all the comments guys :) im just fixing some stuff (gameplay stuff) and then ill release _b1 version, expect a release this week. Later ill release a _b2 with some new stuff :)

yeah I do like the map, although if I may, one suggestion....
The trees need to have some transparency passing through to the sky, at the moment they are too "dense" compared to the areas you can move in, the density of these trees....it would make the map look less "boxed in"

There ARE paratroopers.
Hmmmmmm.....I have and idea Stoffer. Make more trees, spread em out, so its like a "Pop-Shoot-and Hide map. Its too open but otherwise good work i hope they pick it for a new Map in future DOD maps.

Well i still think that the map need more trees so that people could hide and shoot around like real jungle warfare. And im fine with the Ping so add anything you want

This map is looking good.
- The snow makes everything lighter. Because it reflects evry light more powerfully than another matter. That's why your ground does not match with the sky: make the sky a night one, or make the ground lighter (just a suggestion m8).
- What about the r_speeds? Please show screens with them next time.

1. Thats how snow is.
2. r_speeds don't go over 850
And about that "the map is to open" THATS the point :) that makes the whole map fun.

Hum, on the screenshots you have the same luminosity as snow in night: you can see, but all is dark. And the sky is not a night one.
I am sure a forest with plenty of snow is very much lighter (by day).
r_speeds are not just wpolys. They are wpolys and eploys. The less wpolys you have, the more eploys you can have. Don't trust me? Please take a look here http://www.slackiller.com/tommy14/rspeeds.htm
Anyway these are just suggestions, based on my personnal opinion. It is YOUR map.
