Question for my DOD mod

G'Day,
I'm the temaleader for a SP mod for DOD/HL. At the moment it is not named but it will included historical secret mission from WW2 and the appearance of some famous custom maps. One problem I have encounted though is the use of DOD textures, models etc. Am I allowed to use official DOD textures for a DOD mod or do I need to create my own?

Note: Textures I will be using are from DOD betas (eg. overlord.wad, dod_avalanche.wad)

Yep you can use all of them, as VALVe owns everything everything is free to use.

Serious? That's some good news so can I go ahead and do what ever I want (except sell the game of course!)

but I'd wait till the HL2 SDK is out , then convert your work to hl2 technology


HL2 sdk is out in august 2003
HL2 is out in sept. 2003

I think you might find that overlord.wad ain't up for grabs.

Anything on or after DoD b3.1 ... I belive.

Someone else might want to comment on this.
