Story:
It's June the 6th 1944. During the night allied paratroupers landed in a small village
somewhere in the Normandie. There is a very important road running through the
village that links to Omaha Beach. Now in the early morning the Germans are
trying to take the village again so that they can drive their tanks to the
beach and try to stop the allied invasion.

Looks fabulous!!! :) :) :) But I don't see any use of model foliage! Why not use this tempting possibility. [iNw]Andy has done this in his map with amazing results.

This map is... definatly the best map i have ever played. official or unofficial. I downloaded it a few dayes ago, and now when its not running, all other maps seem borring, and I go map instead of playing dod. the r_speeds are so low for the detail. The 3 flag middle cap is a great idea, because it keeps action focused in a small area with many windows, and cover. the layout is also very well done. GREAT MAP!!!

my only criticism about this map is the area in shot 4, there's tons and tons of rubble, enough that the sidewalks are buried, it looks good too. But where did it come from? The buildings around are immaculate and show no signs of having been hit or collapsed. It doesn't really matter of course seeing as how I'm not really going to care when I'm getting shot at by the allies and am more concerned with finding an area to hide behind while I reload. I won't stop to look up and wonder where all the rubble came from.

Overall, excellent work and I'm glad to see you added the hedgerows area back in.

actually, most of the building have alot of damage, the only area is the middle, but thats probally for r_speeds.

I had recently chance to play this map so my few comments:
1) music is too loud and gets really annoying after a while
2) Overview map is to soft, I could hardly see what was on it.
3) Allies have much longer way to first flag (esp. spawn are is longer).
4) This would be hard to change but these sideways which end by spawns are really bad thing. By Allies spawn, axis can very easy spawn camp allies and fully block exiting from spawn (side way ending in destroyed building (axis hard to spot) and long wide open area on which you exit from spawn.

We finally got around to adding this one to our server, and I gotta say, its a lot of fun. The 3-man mid cap is great. :)

We played it a good hour last night w/ 8s and 9s and it was great fun. :)

Although I can't speak for the mapper this is an old trick used to convey destruction without actually having any...it's designed to keep r_speeds low and still have a map with debris all over the place...do this...go run around in dod_jagd and look for super-damaged buildings...you'll only find a few...one in allied spawn...one near axis spawn...most of the damage is hinted at with roof textures or wall textures that are damaged...with this engine it's really hard to make a wide-open map like jagd AND have it all destroyed...so we mappers use slight-of-hand tricks like this to give you the impression of a busted up place without actually having a busted up place...the r_speeds on jagd are excellent considering how big it is.
