Some early screens of my current project, dod_retaliation. 20% done. Mostly street fighting with selected enterable buildings. Main square will have every building enterable, however. Any feedback is appreciated.

Houses are very dull, boxy even. Use different textures for them too. Still have a way to go.

Still looks pretty empty so add debree where you can... its smart to make the layout first and add what you can afterwards like you do now.

Watch out with making to many houses enterable since you might run into rspeed problems, but I guess you are aware of that. Smart layout might solve such problems...:)

Firstly I also thought the houses where a bit boxy, but then again its hard to build houses that arent square... :)

Generaly it looks really good I think... I hope it plays as good as well. :D

Looks cool, but i think there is one problem; cover. I think you need more cover in the streets. Looks nice!

Showing promise, just polish it up. Rework textures and brushwork. Come up with a more consistent theme.

Looks pretty good so far. I dont think the buildings look too boxy. a lot of theem were in cramped cityies, i wouldnt change them. Says somewhere in the FAQ about having to be like 50% done before posting a preview thing though..

well some of you may think is looks blocky but it's really not at all. just the poor quality of the jpegs makes it look like that. after looking at these much much higher quality pics, if you still think it looks blocky, i don't know why you could think that.

*note- theres only 4 pics cuz i ran out of disc space.

The buildings have some details which are hard to make out from the pictures: window sills, foundations, roof overhangs. They're boxy, but only in the sense that all buildings are square, kinda hard to change that very much. More debris, probably like hedgehogs, and definately some sandbags are planned. Just kind of getting the atmosphere and layout down, so I thought I'd see how I was doing before I got too far into it and wasn't able to change everything.

I think thay meant that buildings are low detailed. They have flat walls, which doesn't look too good if you have large undestroyed houses along longer street.
