Could this be done?
at least i know it's possible for source, but not dod

anyways i was tinkering around as an experiment.
I attempted to make a Marder II tank. i got all the physboxes made and attached a gun (a resized ubers flak 18). but i can't get it to drive.

anyways, i was wondering if there was a way to balance a tank. for instance, could we make it ignore grenades and bullets but be destroyed with a bazooka (and finally make an important role for a bazooka) .

The only way to get a vehicle to drive would be to parent it to a func_tracktrain or something like that.

If you set the tank's health high enough, you can make it so that only bazookas can hurt it. I don't know how well moving tanks would fit with the gameplay, although stationary tanks that need to be destroyed with the bazooka/panzershreck (as in dod_zalec) could be interesting if properly utilized.

You can't have a player drive it. It either goes on its own attached to a func_tracktrain or it doesn't move. Don't try to make it all physics or your FPS are doomed.

well poop, ive already got it all physed with just physbox entillitys so your saying making an entillity to push it would be too much phys for now?
