I've been working, slowly, on a Freya radar model. Since it looks like there are several mappers keen on making, or already working on, a dod_glider remake, I thought I would put this out there. If someone has already made such a model, or is working on it, please let me know so I can start doing something else. :D

Hehe. We already have one in Ham and Jam and I thought I saw someone making one over at mapcore.net for DoD.

edit: Yeah it was hessi (http://www.dayofdefeat.com/forums/member.php?u=30102).

You might want to contact him and see if he actually finished it, release it or whatever. I don't recall ever seeing it get past work in progress.

Yes, I'll do that.

From what I've seen reading that thread you linked to, it's been finished. I understand he's working on a map and withholding some textures he made until he releases it, so maybe he's doing the same with the model, I'm not sure. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a map, it looks great!

i'm getting very excited about those large scale models currently in development... should be a piece of cake to make a good looking map now!!

Just to conclude on this topic: Hessie's model is finished, features LODs, and is breakable. Apparently he's not releasing it, but if you contact him and send him some screenshots of your map, he will "consider contributing the model to your map", providing you give him "full credit and copyright on the model".

So, for the mappers out there who might be interested, try contacting him (some contact infos are on his website (http://www.thomashess.net/)).

Where are these glider remakes? I searched and couldn't find any.

None of them are done/released yet, as far as I know.
