yes, it's really long, 5+ hours and it was only at 3 out of 10

should it take this long using v-vis and v-rad??

how can i cut it down??

There are many ways to reduce compile time. Keeping the map optimized is really important, try deviding areas using area portals. Make everything that that can be into func_details. Don't make the volume of the map larger than necessary, i.e. lower the sky if possible.

5 hours is a very long time, dod_fuel takes less than an hour for me.

long compile times are usually caused by bad brushes. make sure no brushes overlap other brushes, and turn everything you can into func_detail, particularly complex brushes.

is there an easy way to seperate brushes... rather than manual labor.. i still get 40+ frames on an x-700 with a gig o ram and a 64 bit 3200+
