Hi guys, its been a while since I was last on here (under the name of CaptainMuppet back in the day)
I'm in a team of people working on a HEART OF EVIL remake (Heart of Evil : Enhanced Edition). Basically we're looking for mappers to help us improve the aesthetics of the maps.

At the moment I'm handling the mapping by myself, which is no small task given the number of maps for HOE. I've come back here because the DOD community has excellent mappers, thus it would be an enourmous help to us if someone from here could help us with making this mod appear more realistic.

We need someone who can help us rework some maps, to improve geometry; apply higher resolution textures (we have a WAD already); add appropriate props to increase details (we also have our Props pretty much sorted out)
The RMFs for for HOE can be downloaded from here http://hosted.planethalflife.gamespy.com/heartofevil/files/Heart%20of%20Evil%20Maps%20(.rmf%20Format).zip
So you wouldn't have to work

To date we've replaced most of the weapons, a good number of the NPCs; new sounds have been added and the weapons recoded. Progress on our work can be seen on our website http://hoe.half-lifecreations.com/media.php?album=Alpha%20Scrennshots/
or on MODDB http://mods.moddb.com/9800/heart-of-evil-enhancement-pack/

Just a small comment, you might want to revise your acronym. :p

Are you still working with the HL1 engine? If you consider changing to source at some point, feel free to take a look at my portfolio on http://www.albatros44.de and send me a PM. :)

Wow thats an amazing portfolio! We are working in the HL1 engine, but a Source port may be done at some future point (certainly its something I would like to see)
Basically we want to finish what we've started doing in the HL1 engine (porting takes time); on the plus side we have Bloom coded in - which makes such a difference to the appearance. If and when we start on a source port, I'll definitely get in touch :)

I think the original mod team deliberately chose words to fit the acronym "HOE" :P given that the mod is full of toilet humour
