[REL]DoD 1.3 TC3 (Total Custom Content Conversion)

Since I started playing DoD (around the 1.1 time) I began trying different custom content from various modelers and skinners here on the DoD Forums. After a few years I finally got a complete set of custom content that I was happy with that was high res and extremely realistic that replaced all of the weapons, players, sounds, crosshairs, flags, objective icons, the hud, etc. Even the game start menu and the sounds that were associated with it. Here is the custom content that I gathered.

It has been a few years since I put all of this together, and have long since forgotten the majority of the authors of the content. I know for sure there is content by Splinter, Brutal, Felix, and the likes; the big names from the 1.3 skinners :D. I do NOT take any credit for any of the content that is in this package. I simply wanted to share all of this great content (some of which is not on any file servers anymore sadly) with the rest of the community.

PACKAGE CONTENTS
* All new weapon models/skins.
* All new player models/skins.
* All new weapon sounds.

Heh, well uncompressed its over 500mb. That's why I used a self extracting winRAR archive. So I thought I had done well compressing it. :confused:

The settings for the bmp on that helmet are wrong. You can change it with HLMV.

As for the Sten, the British sleeves don't show up in HLMV. However, they're fine in-game.

*shrugs* I haven't seen that helmet error in-game. Sten works fine as well in game -- I'm sure of that one.

The Sten issue is simple: there are three submodels for the arms, American, German and British. The first one on all models is the American one. However, the British models aren't designed to be used by the Americans so the submodel for the sleeve is redundant and therefore is deliberately blank (probabaly to reduce file size). As long as there is a German sleeve in submodel slot 3 and a British one in 2 it'll work fine.

The helmet is due to transparency effects. Turn them on in HLMV and save the model.

EDIT: You could have made the sleeves all consistent. You've got default sleeves in use, Dillinger's high resolution default sleeves, along with all three of Splinter's sleeves and Marzy's British paratrooper sleeves and US infantry sleeves, as though you just compressed all the files without any thought.

Oh, and a reskin of the original German paratroopers (ie not the detailed models like the rest) is in use for the German infantry models. Include similarly detailed Wehrmacht instead of paratroopers, along with creating a consistent style amongst the sleeves on the weapons, and it's a fairly decent pack.

I was wondering about that from the screenshots. Yeah, inconsistant sleeves are a definite downer.

I put Splinter's sleeves on all the models I use a long time ago. I still have them.
