Can someone give me a step by step instructions on how to setup mapping for day of defeat source, because when i open sourcesdk, and click on hammer it says No game configurations to work with, and at the bottom where it has Current game, theres nothing on the list

click on the reset game configurations and see if u an launch hammer, if not, i cant remember how i got around that

And i downloaded dods.fgd and when i open it in hammer, hammer freezes

except where can i find source textures? because i still have my dod 1.3 textures showing up

just make sure u set up hammer properly to look for the proper textures, u shouldnt need to add wad files to the materials, if you add wad files to the search it will find them, source has its textures built in and hidden, u have to use gfscape to find those, u should try searching google real good and read up on hammer and mapping before plunging in

now how can i get the camera working because i cant see anything when i scroll and look around after i created an object

make sure you tell it 3d textured polygons and try to center ur 3d view

Yeah go to view and click center 3d view. I have to do it every time I open hammer because it starts out black for some reason.

Use the camera tool and touch in one of your 2D views and you should be able to see it. You will have to do that every time unless you save your position.
