If that map idea is based in the Ardennes Forest, it's a already been done for DoD:S (for a long time too.)

I have never seen a map like that and there is no map called dod_band_of_brothers and its not based on Ardennes Forest its just a cool place i saw watching band of brothers there was a firefight in it.

Uhh, the snowy forest firefight scenes in BoB? Where do you think that was? The Ardennes Forest.

The map i just thoguht of looks nothing like that and if it cant be named dod_band_of_brothers then ill name it like dod_snowyforest or somthing can some1 just please make the map. and about the spawning your team will have 2 work so that that dosent happen and its a thick forest except for the front line of trees.
I'm afraid theres more to it, then someone 'just making a map'.

Your best bet is probably to learn Hammer yourself.

amen
...and not to pile on, but this is similar to someone saying, I have a great idea for a movie or book -- can someone go write it for me?
The level of effort is immense, the idea is the spark perhaps, but is only about 1% of the solution.

hehe, maybe so, Formo -- hey, I've got this neat idea about a sleepy little french town, maybe starts with an "R" -- interested? ;)
Making a map takes time!
As a beginner i have already spent more than 100 hours on dod_caumont & almost 30hrs on dod_hamburgerhill...
It would be interesting to have some opinions of mappers over the time which they devoted to their map.

Between 450 (DoD_Edelweiss) and 950 (DoD_Nightingale) hours, I'd say.
At least for the Source maps I made in the last year... :]

Exactly...mapping in Source is alot more labor intensive that it was on the Goldsource engine.
