A little late on the beta version, but here it is. There is still much to do, but I think it's in a good enough state to release and test out. I'm hoping to have the final version done in about a month. Any comments and feedback are appreciated!

TODO:
- Custom 2D sky (using Argentan as a temp sky)
- More custom textures
- Normal maps on a few cobble texs
- More grime!
- Another pass on the sfx
- More furniture inside
- More snow overlays/displacement alpha blending
- More overall detail in general!

Bumpalicious.

Anyways, you did what some of us said and made the fire more yellow, but now you made it TOO yellow.

Take a screenshot of the flames in your map, and try to mimic that color with the glow of the flames.

FPS are very high in this map, and the layout looks pretty cool. Interested in trying on a server.

I hope you plan to add more detail in the future releases.

Great start so far man.

Add some fog... It adds atmosphere to the map, and you won't regret it... Not to heavy though, maybe start it at about 100 and finish the fog at maybe 3000 or 5000...

Yeah, if you need help for flame color, just look at some flames on default dod/hl2 maps and maybe add a bit more red for emphasis.

Other than the flames, the map looks schmexah.

I remember your two awesome cs maps! Pacific and Isolation. Two crackers that along with a few other CS maps encouraged me to learn Hammer. This map has great brushwork and a very friendly, and "comfortable" feel. It seems as though most of the hard work is done, it's just the detailing that's left. I particularly like the floor elevation, and how the fighting takes place on many different levels.

Some constructive crits and things that could be added:

crates and sandbags are positioned too perfectly

cobble road texture could do with a blend, and some snow decals to break up the repetition

snow decals should beadded to areas where the snow meets road

more pronounced roof displacements

props on all arches

falling snow

some roof/attic windows

more chimneys on the less detailed roofs

lots more stain decals on walls, and destroyed buildings, and rust effects under lamps

icicles

more pine trees and vehicles in any areas where the framerate will allow it

more smoke stacks coming out of chimneys

displacements added to the broken walls

more "landmark" buildings - church, castle, clock tower, bar, cafe etc

more texture variety on the buildings, perhaps some brown and yellows could look good, along with a unique texture for "special" buildings like those mentioned above

telephone poles to add to the overhead detail

some 3dsky mountains would look nice

some more cylindrical geometry

lamps that hang far off the buildings (like those found in the stock maps)

wall decals/signs/posters to add more uniqueness to the buildings

curves on the corners of the roads, so that there isn't a 90 degree turn

thicker fog

drainpipes on buildings

some snow covered rock

possibly some tank tracks running through the roads

craters on roads

more vegetation peeping out of the snow

general details like logs, planks of wood lying around, benches, balconies, maps, crates, and rubble

@Formologic23: I'll work on that fire...hehe....I think I'm colorblind.

@Rolk: I'll do a test version with fog....was curious to see how that would look...thx for the settings tip.

@Darklord2003: Appreciate the mirror!

@RosietheRiveter: Thx for hosting....I'll try to jump on the server tonight.

@Watevaman: I think the fire color has become my new number 1 priority.... :D

@B@D: Any feedback on how it plays I'd greatly appreciate!

@OrnateBaboon: Wow! You are really bringing back some good memories with those maps. I haven't made a map since cs_pacific....which was back in 2004. Those were the good ole days. Anyways, I appreciate your comments.....I pretty much agree with you 100% on everything you've pointed out.
