I was wondering if anyone had some free time to create collisions on the 13 tree trunks of the HL2:EP1 Pine tree cluster. I am using them in my map, and they are great, but I have a couple of issues.

First off, normally it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but what I end up doing is creating Block Bullet brushes around each of the 13 tree trunks multiplied by however many models I put in. This in turn increases my normal compile time from 6 minutes to 45 minutes, and as a result, it creates more visleafs, which in turn reduces frame rates in the map.
I have 3ds Max 8, have decompiled the .mdl and imported the .smd, and looked around, but I am over my head on this simple task. I browsed through all of the threads looking for a tutorial but I didn't find anything that was useful to me or many of the links are dead. I may have overlooked something as I'm getting tired.
If anyone is interested, thanks, or if anyone can point me to a specific location of how to do something like this, that would be great too. I just don't have the experience yet.
