I don't say this a lot.
I can't find anything wrong with it.
It plays beautifully
It LOOKS beautiful
lighting indoors and outdoors is perfect - ambiance feels and looks just like you'd expect to see in real life.
For it's size and detail, it has surprisingly great frame rates
It's not TOO confusing, yet does not feel like it is funneling you in one direction (although basically it is a figure-8 route setup).I jumped on the POW server to take a few screenshots. I ended up staying and playing for an hour. If your map rotation does not have this, get it. get it now!

It's already been pretty much finalized as to what maps will be in CAMP2.;)

what error?

Here's how you have it:

Mission Brief
A small troop of the fox squad are on their way to omaha beach, but they drifft of their curse and landet on a small coast near a small village. In this area has never been an enemy contact...However there is a small raiding patrol of the axis waiting for support in the village...

Just ran through it, looks great! My only gripe were some of the trees, they seemed to be "lower" quality. The map is beautiful.

Good job !

07-03-2007, 06:51 PM
Yeah, map looks awesome, one of the best customs out there. Hope to play on it soon. :D

07-04-2007, 02:17 AM
Yes the Trees looking only good with high model detail,
without there are 2d lod models...
Its a fault by the creator.

I posted this at DoD:F as well:

Just an fyi, I've played the map some on a couple servers.

1. Please remove the hurt from the barbed wire in the spawns. It only frustrates players.
2. You need secondary spawn exits. Way to easy to spawn camp.

That said, promising map. I like the squat nature of it. I wouldn't go adding additional routes yet as you run the risk of turning it into a rats maze.

We at www.victoryineurope.net tournament are about to have a full scale map test on this map Saturday. I am sure it will pass the test with flying colors and be added to our territorial map pool.
Thanks for all your hard work

I'm not gonna lie: I vastly prefer the size, layout, and objectives of your Gold version, but I realize that those gameplay options don't exist in Source.

So with that said, thank you for remembering to still include the World's Longest Pee.

Hameau was one of my all-time favorite maps, and I'm glad it's back in some form for Source!

Awesome map...

Just a question, anyone is getting pink textures? I'm not sure if the pink texture is from my video card setting or missing custom models.

Please let me know.

Thanks, Kurt

07-22-2007, 06:55 PM
All content what you need is in this map-bsp included.
You will get red error signs with missing custommodels.
The only custom textures we used are the ground and decals.
Where is the pink tex?

PS: some peoples haved this on first playtest too (the ones with custom weapons or playermodels i think), it was fixed after an short server restart..but dont know the reason.Maybe HellStar (from band of beavers) will help, i ask him.

Very nice looking map. :) I just added it to our RPG server. Thanks...

For those running the map, and have a server browser on their website, I created an animated pic for game browsers. I used the screenshots provided by J69L.

I have been creating alot of such animated map pics for our website. Since I liked the map, so much, thought I would share it. :)

Just right click and save it. Please do not link off our site. Enjoy!

We over at ViE have noticed that the Axis reach the fountain and Manor flags quicker then the Allies. Is it possible to move the spawn points 30 feet closer to the exits on the Allies side???
