Guys what i'm i doing wrong ?

right built a map it runs on my pc from the bsp in dod/maps dir

the same bsp runs on others pc's

but it wont run on our server ? which is fedora 6

soon as i make server change to it just goes to another map do i have to do sumit other than run it in hammer >?

think all the textures and bit's i've used are standard bit no custom stuff ?

am i doing sumit stupid ?

right fixed leaks and it goes all the way thorugh only thing that even looks like a fault is the lines below do they mean anything to anyone

still wont run on server ?

sorry to be asking porbaly silly questions but first try at a map, only had a go cause i missed zafod so remade it form memory as best i could

WARNING: Cluster portals saw into cluster is usually caused by brushwork, usually by 2 or more brushes overlapping. Use of func_detail can fix this. If you have no idea what this is then read up on optimisation (the valve developer wiki http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Func_detail and the ultimate optimisation page http://www.student.ru.nl/rvanhoorn/optimization.php).

Still don't see why this would cause your map not to run on a server, especially seeing as you can run it on its own. Listing the errors which appear in-game would probably be more useful.

Is the server linux or windows based?

I've seen cluster portals errors on Dijon that were with func_detail brushes, so I just decided to let them go by the way side. every mention of this bug also says to not care for it unless you find yourself losing FPS in an otherwise perfectly standard scene

Yeah it's more a problem in that it increases compile times by quite a bit, in-game isn't really a problem.

A couple of things I see, "env_cubemap used on world geometry without rebuilding map. . ignoring: tile/marblefloor10" etc. can be fixed by building cubemaps.

Invalid allies spawnpoint at (520.7,65.0,65.0)
will cause problems, this means one of your allied spawn point entities is probably overlapping some world geometry, so you need to make sure that the bounding box of all your spawn points doesnt touch a brush or displacement or whatever. (anyone know if this would stop the map from loading on a server?)

SOLID_VPHYSICS static prop with no vphysics model! can be fixed I think by going to collisions in the entities properties and selecting not solid.

The texture blend errors aren't critical in any way.

Surface center : 939 -438 152 - I don't know what this is.

But nothing particularly sinister looking that would stop it running completely. Unfortunately I know nothing about the server side of things so I might be missing something, must be some server experts around here somewhere?

i've treid convert wad to vmt but it just says skipped on all

Surface center : 939 -438 152 - I don't know what this is.

That is the centre of the brush that has the blend texture applied to it that is not a displacement.

If you make a not of the co-ordinates then in Hammer click view/go to coordinates and type it in it will take you to the offending brush.
