Cool weapon modifications/additions

I want to modify some weapons like you'd do in real war.
Well you might not do it in a war, but just in a way that it's realistic.
For example add another magazin to the magazin by taping or whatever.

I couldn't think of something that would work on the (us) models, without modifying the animations.

So, any requests?
Like a attached bayonet for example (but that's already been done).

ya know. i once heard that the Gestapo would you baby bottle nipples as silencers. it does the trick for a .38 maybe you could do it for the P38?

add a bayonet 2 m1 but do it well in proportion , no offense to the person who did it but i didn't like it, and use coyote's garand skin as that would make it the ultimate skin

Okay this is actually do-able and I suspect would be rather popular. Bring back the buttstroke. Add it to the K98 and the Garand. 'Cause it's just fun. It would require:
Extending the default model to have the polygons that were chopped to save on the overall model budget
A rather simple additional set of animations. It could replace the melee weapon, the knife. The "firing" sequence of the melee weapon is short BUT not too short that you couldn't get a swing in. It would look a little fast but would still be in the realms of somewhat believable. All the other tools for this just fall in-line; The skins are already done (they have the buttsock complete), the models (QC file?) could be compiled to identify new sounds (if a person should so choose). The idle pose could simply be a change in posture, for instance port arms, to indicate that you were in melee mode.

i LOVE the idea, but 1 problem... what happens when the player drops the rifle? unfortunately, im sure you can see where im going with this... cause i would love it...

So you want to replace the knife for example with a rifle.
And using a "butstroke" as (melee) attack.

So if you were a assault class then you'd carry a rifle also (at least you get the idea you carry it).
I'm not sure if it feels realistic or good enough to play with.
I don't know though, just letting you know what I think, but please tell me if im wrong.

Also that buttstroke is that a "move" that you "stomp" with the back of the "butt" (rear end of the rifle, dont' know what it's called)?

i LOVE the idea, but 1 problem... what happens when the player drops the rifle? unfortunately, im sure you can see where im going with this... cause i would love it...
And yes this is also a problem, unless someone comes up with a good alternative.

This is why I wanted to make a mod.
Cause personally think this is much better then a knifebutt.
If I could decide what gets fixed in this game it would be that every weapon had a melee/alt attack.

And it doesn't even require much work to get it to work.

------------
Question:

- Is it possible, if so how do I "add" new sounds for new animations? (in max, or qc or whatever)
- Can you add more "random" animations for example like the punch for thompson (has got 2 different attacks).

scratch that whole idea - execution is impossible without modding the game itself.

The Carbine pouch is a definate, that would be brilliant.

In addition, properly animated straps for the appropriate view model weapons (not the world models), like there was in the beta days of DoD, would be superb. If you can't animate don't do it, static straps look wrong.

Also, animations for a buttsmash on the Thompson and MP40. Failing that, hack some knuckledusters onto the left hand (nick them off the Trench Knife). It needs some justification for why punching them hurts more than a pistol round.

Let me start with a creation of my own:

These are my lucky bullets, attached to my rifle.
This will get me trough the war, not by hiding but killing every enemy I see.
I won't tell you where the bullets came from cause that will bring bad luck.

*update 2*

I installed DODss Kugann's Springfield skin cause it's so friggin badass!!!!!! and will look better with my new "addon".
I also added phong instead of envmap to his skin.

Also I used phong for my bullets.

I want to make a idle animation for my creation but got a problem.
EDIT:
How do I make sure the hands "stick" to the gun.
If I set a gunbone to a handbone the gun "follows" the gun, that is good, partially.
I need the other hand to "stick" to the gun also, but I can't link the gunbone to 2 bones (hands).
