im sure it just depends on how its used
like, the size of the map, and draw distances perhaps
if the old engine could supply decent rain to dod_donner, cant we get the same (and better) from source?
i guess you just need to try, experiment, and work at it

i think i could have an animated sprite infront of the area that i would like to appear rainy but those areas would be unreachable. gonna make a simple test with a window.

What I did was doubled or tripled the rain box that you make, so that you get more of an effect. Will it go sideways in the wind, nope, but it will look heavier and a little more like rain, yep.

Are you saying just to put more precipitation brushes? i think it tried that and it didn't do much. I'll give it another shot though.

Did you set the intensity to 100?

I tried it too, but I also seemed to not notice that much of a difference. Thought it was me though. In CSS, it in fact makes a difference.

Maybe they need to be offset just a bit too, and not directly overlapping one another?

I'm practically drooling waiting for that rain effect to be implemented. Why did it take forever for us to get decent snow in Source? Like Neutrino said, we used to have it on the old engine...

We had to wait for Colmar, I guess. This wait thing seems to pop up all over the place.

How about change the name from DoD:S to DoD:W (Waiting).
