This is one of those stripped right down HUDs... just about all gone.
Normal Playing screen (http://www.dodbits.com/downloads/HUD/Others/Pop_up_hud/dod_kalt0045.jpg)... no kills/deaths, no Object icons...just chat and the capture panel.
That is... gone from the playing screen unless you want it...then you can call it up. It's a bit of a rough job at the moment and no finished files yet... but not many problems running it ATM.
This uses the Minimap panel and the bind "+overview_largemap".
If you use ... bind "mouse4" "+overview_largemap" or any other key/button to that command, press it and you get this confusing mess at the moment (http://www.dodbits.com/downloads/HUD/Others/Pop_up_hud/dod_kalt0032.jpg). Lift your thumb off the button... the clear screen is back.
I will make different versions because some people just can't play without looking at kills deaths, object icons :rolleyes: ...mostly the chat has all I need, I can fake the rest.
On a friendly fire server it does get a bit embarrassing if you kill a teammate and not say sorry.
There are little bits and pieces to clean up like the bottom bar on the spectator screen had to be sliced (http://www.dodbits.com/downloads/HUD/Others/Pop_up_hud/Spec_chat.JPG)and I don't have time to complete all of it this week.
But a few variants of this may work quite well :) If you have an idea of what should and should not be on either screen post below!
Give me an idea for a layout and I will spit out a version next week.
Ideas I already have is to make a very visible health bar... but on the minmap screen, delete the stamina bar and just have the turtle pop up same for the MG heat/fireselect on the playing screen.
After playing with this for about 15 mins... I like it, it grows on you.
EDIT: forgot to add... yes...you can be running along with this, and shoot at the same time while viewing all the pop-up stuff. It comes with my standard menu so you can adjust the minimap transparency up and down...player names...tracks...rotate...teammate health.
