Last night, I played bleakhill for the first time. It was a very different experience for DoD. It promoted more team work and more communication.
I thought to myself that I should make a map that pushed communication and team work more then other maps. So I was going to make a whole new map, then I remembered about my first map for DoD: S. dod_arras.
I've always liked playing on the map and thought it could do with a bit of a face lift. I had released arras_rc1 however it wasn't fully complete, so this gives me a chance to launch into it.
So far I've changed a few things, there are only 3 flags now. The middle is a double man, and takes about 7 seconds to capture it. So your team has to stay alert and try to cover your ass while you're capturing it... There is only one middle field now, its not split into two... I am redesigning and shifting around houses, on each side of the map, both allied and axis spawns.
The first screenshot is from the allied side of the field, looking over at some new changes to the buildings:

Second shot is the Axis side looking at the same two buildings in the middle, there is the first axis flag on the second side and the middle flag is the Sherman tank on the right:

There is the allies first flag, now moved into the courtyard, it may move back at some stage but for now its just there:

I am still messing with the fog levels and lighting, so what you see here is not the final product!
