Oh yeah ! Thank you for those superb trees.

Hehehe.... finally! I thought that preview thread was gonna keep growing forever! :D Looks really good man, thanks for the hard work. Sure we'll be seeing these in many custom maps.

Hey, Im working on some of my own tree models. Are the materials on these models your own make, and if so, may I use them on my models (with full credit given in readme.txt of course)

Thanks,,
WT

"Are the materials on these models your own make, and if so, may I use them on my models" Yes and yes (except for the oak, just uses the HL2 one) :).

Cool beans, thanks for the permission. By the way, how to you make foliage props collision free? Do you just make the phys_reference.smd empty or just so it covers the trunk?

thanks

WTDo you mean in a map or before hand for the model itself? If it's for a map, you set the Collision section under the model properties to "Not Solid." That will remove the collisions and allow you to make your own Nodraw collisions.

Hey Flashy,

nice stuff - problem though: the linde_tak_1 vmt file is messed up.

In it's current configuration, pack programs won't be able to include the common linden texture.

The line in the vmt contains "linde_tak_1.vmt" - eliminate the ".vmt" and it'll be fine :).

Cheers,

Albatros

Thanks, [AoS]Albatros. But is there any way it can be fixed by you, i might have lost my HL2 source model files in a harddrive crash.

I'm working on some more HL2:source models, heres an updated model from previous pack..

Sure it can.

Everybody should be able to fix it on their machine and it's basically very easy.

Want me to upload the new corrected version?

I just don't know whether I'll get the entire pack together again... uploading only the linden wouldn't be a problem though.

Cheers!

flashy, i would like to encourage you to do at least one lod (better two lods) after the basic lod0 version as geometry and not as flat bitmap-files.
its for all those people with slower computers that have their model-details on medium/low. they will see the bitmap-version all the time, and it looks very strange from close up.

I found a backup of my files. Trying to fix everything now.

I did a quick fix on all models that had bitmap in first lod.

Updated tree pack can now be found here (http://ofpc.de/berghoff/files/temp/dod_flashy_treepack1_final.rar)

Additionally source files can be found here (http://ofpc.de/berghoff/files/temp/dod_flashy_treepack1_source.rar) if anyone is interrested. - Can be used freely.

(Use at own risk)

Thanks and have fun. =)
