dod_toulon was a custom map for dod that never made it past beta, but was finished for Firearms. I was wondering how many people would be interested in a recreation. I no longer have the source file for the map, but I'm pretty confident I can recreate it even better then what it was before. For those who have played it I'd love to open the floor to any feedback you want to share. Here is the layout of the finished version for splinter.

Toulon_b2 was a 5*star* favourite in 1.3
Played at the top of the map list and in the SLDL
Would love to see it return in a Source incarnation

If I recreate the map it'll be a little different. I dont have the old source files so I'd have to recreate it, meaning there would be obviously some differences. Also there have been optimization changes to the engine. Lastly I want to attempt some gameplay changes for hopefully better dynamic gameplay.

Yea I remember this map. We played this map alot during Battle for Europe tournament and was one of the favorites. Now that BFE closed, many BFE vets moved to a new tournament, Victory in Europe (started by vets of BFE), and a source version of Toulon would be welcomed into ViE.

cant ever remember play that map.... but on that note... looking on the overview, it appears to be similar to dod_anvil in Src.... or should i say Anvil looks like it

well just found it in all the maps on opur pub and match servers.... anvil is a tiny tiny version of this map... and it looks awsome... next weeks map night will def include this map
