I tried to create my map adding part by part buiding created in a small map. By this way I created smal part of map (fast compilation to test pasts).
But when I copy past these part to my map (the real one) blocs I copied are not pasted alligned with the grid (of course they were alligned in the small map)
Why ??
How can I copy / past without allignement problem ??
I suppose if I let blocs unaligned with the gris Vis compilation will be longer an longer ...
Thansk for your help

after copying , try using the "paste special" function, play with it until it does what you want(right click in a 2-d view pane or go edit>paste special)

The best thing is not to copy and paste if it can be avoided as very rarely would it line up with the grid.
You are right when you say that if your brushes don't line up with the grid the vvis comple time will be longer.
This also applies to models, if they aren't on the grid it will also effect vvis compile time. If you are placing alot of identical models in a map ie. doors and windows it is better to place the entities and copy and paste the "World Model" name in the properties window that way they will still be on grid.

This problem can be caused if you have props on the building. When you select the entire building the selected box, which is what will be aligned to the grids, will represent the brushes or entities that are furthest out on every axis. If these are prop_statics (or similar) the building won't align properly.
To solve this I usually make a brush outside of the building, like in the top right corner, which I delete after paste and alignment. That box should then be the definer of the selection box for the entire building and be easy to align.
Hope you understood that, I'm not too good at explaining stuff :/

...once pasted into the new map, select all the brushes and props together then goto the "Tools" menu and select "Snap Selected to Grid Individually"

This is exactly what is going on. This issue occurs quite often, especially when just moving large selections.
I usually just check the outer edges of my selection and find which model is extending past the brushes and deselect it. Then move it or copy-paste it and then move the model afterward and realign it.
