who made dod_outpost(_rc1) for source?
i can't find any information here nor in any other forums...

dod_outpost (for dod) is listed in the old DOD_name_reference
_database but are both maps from the same person?

for all of you who havent played it yet: its a beautiful, quite large outdoor map
suitable for 12 - 32+ players. if you get the chance give it a try.

it could be optimized a little bit (3d skybox, downscaling and stuff)
but more on that as soon as i find out who made this thingy.

okay this took a turn for the hilarious, when I saw THIS right in the middle of the map:

As for the map, I wasn't really impressed, best thing I can say is he got the color of the water dead-on.

Oh well, at least we got the solution now... after hours of searching in the name database reference, google and whatnot...

as an excuse i have to say that it isnt exactly at the middle of the map. its above the entrance to to first-flag area, where also the axis spawn is located.

so when playing as axis you wont see it because when leaving that area its right in your back and when playing as allies you have to concentrate on the flag and the spawning axis players.

and its not as big as your screenie implies ;)

i just noticed that its also written on the minimap. i guess i concentrated on gameplay too much :hamster:
