i've been using photoshop to edit some of the skins, but when the transperancy stuff (which i haven't messed with) remains blue ingame. I'm new at this so please be gentle  I would really appreciate some help.

It has to be the last color in the palette. Image --> Mode --> Color table

Once you make sure that the last color is what ur using for transparency as Pedro said, u have to edit the QC file. There is a line you have to add, anywhere will work.

$texrendermode "skin.bmp" "masked"

where "skin.bmp" is the bmp file w/ the transparency u are going to use.

(barrel.bmp/ main1.bmp ETC ETC)

then compile the qc and it should work.

ok, so i've made the last color the transpareny color. now what do i do with the old transparency color? when i change it, it changes the desired transparency on the model. does this even matter, or is there some way to realigne the transparency part to the new spot on the color table?
