I thought just adding a scope to my already existing 98k skin would be quick. I was wrong as usual.
I'm sure you're all tired of hearing me say the same old stuff with every post. Check the readme for stuff to read ;)

Very nice release - I always hoped for a scoped version of your Kar 98k skin!
...may I politely ask, if there is hope for a MP40, too? ;)

You blooming would... I'd just finished my own personal upgrade to your previous sniper version to make it similar to your K98... Ah well...
It looks fantastic. I am in love with the phong shading on the scope. Top notch. There is one problem though: unfortunately the scope lens has lost its reflectiveness of the environment around it. You can no longer see terrain through the scope.
And lets see if we can't get you to give in to peer pressure...
PUH-LEASE work your upgrading magic on the MP40! I'd love to see the beautiful bakelite texturing from your P38 and MG42 on the MP40.

Awhile back I had a post asking if you can display phong shaders AND cubemap shaders at the same time, and the answer was no. This reason for that question was these sniper skins. Either you have a an enviromental cubemap OR you have phong. Another advantage is that phong shaders work on any map - cubemaps will not works on maps were the author forgot to add them

Did you, by chance have another skin pack installed previous to this one?
The default VTM file for the w_model contains no code that would cause this. My file does NOT include a VTM file at all. The VTF is a simple DTX1 compression with literally no options checked.
Try going into the w_model folder and seeing if there is a VTM file. If there is, delete it. I didn't put it there.
Ah no vmt ok, there is a vmt in the folder, alright I'll go about deleting that, thanks Wile
