I listened to the feedback and tweaked it a bit and refined the physics models so you should be able to shoot people through the railings and get up into the AA deck (if you wish).

As mentioned in previous threads, the model is in 7 parts to help with optimisation (engine only needs to render approx. 10000 polys close up rather than 26000+) and the ZIP contains a diagram explaining how to lay it all out in hammer. ZIP also includes a torpedo prop model of three torpedos on a wooden palette.

I'll probably do a destroyed version of the conning tower model in the coming weeks for those of you doing det maps. I haven't yet done a skybox version at 1/8th scale as I'm not sure what the polycount needs are?

Finaly note, I actually started this model before DOD:S came out so I wasn't aware of what the polygone limits were for map models so I used Alyx's polycount as a guide. If I'd known back then that we'd see tigers of 11000+ polys I'd of put more detail into it.

Hoorah!!! Oh that's too cool I must be able to use it some where...

BTW skybox = 1/16 not 1/8. (I think...)

Looks wonderful as it always has. :D One thing, though, is there any way you can release a put together version for those of us who'd use it for Gmod screenshots? I'd love to have a fully compiled version for that.

Well its taken an ice-age to release :(

I really wish I'd known I could of had higher poly limits when I started and about the way water renders models or I could of done something much better. It took me so long from trying to pack everything into as low a polycount and small a texture as possible.

Thanks :)

I know it must be tempting to keep things like this for your other project ;)

Actually I spoke with GL and I may make some of my prop models that got absorbed into HaJ public as well. We'll still use them, just means they get better exposure and more use.

Back when Shores of Victory went public, there were no ends of the claims to model theft because their team released their weapon and prop models for DoD before their mod was completed. It ended up just being a whole lot of trouble.
