Importing a ships hull

heya all

saw a photo of a ship in drydock, and am keen to have a go at that, so am wondering how to import a hull model, most on the net are purchase only

if i get hold of a hull in say, max or maya (my lil bro pretty handy with them both, so he might be able to whip something up for me) how do i import?

have had a crack at morphing a half cylinder into a basic hull, but no luck

k got the ships hull from lil bro, is a 3ds max file, so just need to import it? any ideas?

You need to compile the model into either a prop_static or prop_physic's model so that you can get it into hammer to start mapping with.
You may want to visit the modeling section of these forums for some help :)
