Bulet Puffs

Is there any way that you can change the size of the bullet puffs in dod, a console command perhaps. They are so ridiculously big, it's not something that should only by customized, but the default animation should be changed by the devs full stop. For those of you who don't know what the bullet puffs are they, are the effect a 'bullet' as on a texture, and the puff of smoke that follows it.

i like the added effect...at least these puffs are 3d rather than some lame sprite as in other ww2 games

I'd like that to be fixed too, seriously, you don't shoot nuclear missiles.

Oh you'd be surprised. ;) :p

On a serious note, I think I remember seeing that the puff sizes don't change, regardless of the distance away from the player. It would be nice if the puffs were like that from CS:S.

I, whether you want to believe it or not, am an authority on this subject.

The bullet puffs are not in any way shape or form too big in a realistic sense. The real truth is that there are only so many sizes of puffs you can make before things get too complicated, but for the most part this is closer to the real thing than I have seen in most games to date. If you were simply referring to the gaming aspect of it compared to other games, that would simply be a matter of opinion and I could not argue that. However, I personally like DOD because of those differences.

well, whether they're more realistic or not, the fact remains that some of us would like smaller versions of them.

Anyone up to the challenge?

perhaps this should be reposted in the MSA Request forum.
