Not sure how many people have tried this, but it's great for making wood textures. I played around with it a bit, and the possibilities are many.

Ive screwed around with wood workshop a little, and that texture you made is probably the best the program can do... everythign kinda looks like plastic to me.

I always prefer this texture creation tool.

I agree, I don't think taking a texture straight from that app and using it might be the answer, but there is plenty that can be done with the base texture in photoshop to enhance it.
