[REL] dod_donner_tank2

here is the version 2 of the donner version "tank"

in the map i have made a lot of changes.

the maptimer set up to 10 minutes

on first screenshot you see heavy rainshowers coming up with greatfull rain & thunder sound. the TNT packages are moving to the middle of the map.

on second screenshot we have the startposition of the allied sherman tank.
i think a great ambience we will see.

on third we see the 2nd barricades. remember.. the allied troops must run first in the middle of the map to get some TNT packages

on next we have here the last 2 barricades. on the house right i have added a new way. if you play the map you will see.^^

this is the last target. the axis baseflag. you cannot capture the flag bevore the sherman tank destroy with the cannon the last barricades!

at last...we have tested the version with a full server. both teams can win the map with good teamplay. it was great fun to play the map for all players!

Good to see 'ol thunder has at least rain now.
Looks like good fun I'd have to give it a go. I'm wondering what you did with some obstacles on the road and tank in the middle, did you just cut them out? Also how did you manage to fix up the decompiled donner to run? Area_portals and the like seem to be all screwed up with a decompile...

Did you fix the problem where an allied can just go to the flag and win the round. That really sucks in version 1. If it's fixed I put this map back on.

yep mate, he has some pretty heavy duty 'spawn protection' going on around that flag :) Ye die within 2 second or less if ye furtively edge around it and if ye try to jump the barrier you die instantly heh.

Yep, i might give this map a spin on our server too. Anychance of hosting a .zip file instead of a .exe please? Its 31MB as it stands. Ta

yes after decompile all areaportals are broken. i set all areas new on map an i must also fixed many other stuff.

Thanks LJFPS and Green. Ahh i really would like to run this, and it tested nicely when i was playing it locally, but at 31MB even as a bzip, i feel its just too large to put up on our server. (I had thought it would have compressed more as a bzip when i converted it, but then realised the .bsp itself was already 49MB)
We run 20 min map cycles and many people here in Aus dont even have 1.5Mbit connections.
