28th ID Keystone division

Hey everyone this is my first post. Here is a skin I did, its the 28th ID keystone division. The Germans nicknamed the 28th as ths "Bucket of Blood" division.

Don't forget they had the ketstone on their helemet front (this is my 'hometown' unit they're based out of PA)

really, I did not know they put it on the helmet. This is one of my first attemps at skinning. Gotta start small

And yeah I think they did have that symbol on the front of there helmets too.

Helmet insignia were indiscriminately put on all helmets of someone in that division, it isn't different by rank.

Ok, I'll work on my pack and release it sometime in the near future. Anyway, I was going to have a symbol painted helmet on the NCO helmets, but it dosen't matter anyhow. A good movie to watch is "When Trumpets Fade." The main character's helmet has the symbol painted on his.

i just saw on the history channel how the german army was trained to look for insignia when they spotted americans and to look out for specificly the 28 keystone division because they were according to the germans the best allied infantry force:cool:

LOL thats what gave me the idea to do this, well that and im reading citizen soilder and im at the part with the 28th. Anyway I put the keystone on the helmet: PIC (http://www.dodstudios.net/uploads/uploads/28thgood12.jpg)

That looks great man, capt you should take the arm patch and give it a type of border, making it look like its sew on.
