who has renamewhitout permission my 3xi_trainmap to dod_orange_fightarena and why poeple use my nick 3xi_ in her copies of my map idea ^^ make your own stuff it su... in the server list of steam i see my nickname eveywere but i have released only the 3xi_trainmap ^^ :confused:

because you seem to have spawned a new map prefix (like fy_ for example) and should be rejoicing because of it. Its now like the new prefix for training maps. Is orangefight arena EXACTLY the same or just similar in the fact it uses the dev materials?

I'm pretty sure orangefightarena is exactly the same. Maybe server owners wanted people to play on the map when it came up. Most people search for the "dod_" filter.

its my map idea for an aim map and as creator i has the copyright for this stuff but this map is built so simple but rename it ^^ hey guys i understand valve when made steam for copyprotect there games how many maps are in the serverbrowser whit my nickprefix 3xi ^^ it suxxs becurse this work dosn´t made by my ^^ the 3xi_trainmap was built whit dev_textures for an cool contrast the sky box i made for optik. i seen many guys copy this map idea for there projekts but don´t have this poeples no own idias for cool content ? :rolleyes:

ok i built dod_calais_rc1 as an remake of chemille but it was for me to practice the work around the game design. i learned many things in the last seven month
were i built dod_calais_rc1. now its finish i think its a good product. i must say its no 1:1 copy of the old chemille. there were many cool places in the map to optimise the gameplay and its not decompiled its starts whit one brush and now on the rc1 version it was 7243 brushes all self createt whit my own idias for the brushwork

tried nevertheless times your own ideas to convert . if one times you looks how made the designer that stuff its ok ;) however to copy and made namechanges should in this beautiful community must be an taboo or as you see it ;)

Yes, it was bad for someone to rename your map. But consider that 3xi_trainmap has had MUCH more exposure due to the rename. If I was a noob user and I saw the name "3xi_trainmap", I would think it was a map that had a train in it; however, if I saw the name "dod_orange_fight_arena", I would know EXACTLY which map it was. I believe your map became so popular BECAUSE it was renamed and easy to remember. Verstehen Sie?

Nonetheless, you are correct. It was wrong to rename your map and whoever it was should be spanked by their mother. But just realize that everyone still knows you made it. You should try to get your name added to BOTH maps on the War Report page. I forgot who you need to PM, but I'm sure someone else here knows. It might take a while though. My name still says Unknown as well.

Either way, excellent work. If you add up the totals from both listings, you have the most played custom map by a large margin.
