Hello guys. I am new to this forums and first i would like to say hi. Try not to hate me too much.

Now the reason for this thread.

I am making a video that involves graphics from Day of Defeat Source.
Now i have gotten all the sounds i need.
But i have a problem.

I need the graphics it makes when you are capturing a flag. Also the little box it displays when you win a round.

I was going to cut these out from a screenshot, but it is transparent and i can see the things behind it.

So i ask. Is there a way to get the Raw files form the DOD folder?

Or is someone nice enough to get them for me?

Thanks guys!

yes and no

Yes you can get the files, but no it's not like you think.
The menu you see is a compliation of many parts. Some of the text is an actual font, color added by the game engine. The filled areas are also engine produced. The graphics are not one solid peice, but many different peices put together in a way that allows for expansion and contraction of different screen sizes and resolutions.

Your best bet is to get someone to run a LAN server real quick with a map that has an all-white (or close to it) area, like
dod_snow_battlefield (http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/DoD_Source_dodsnowbattlefield;48185), Or an all black area,
and do a quick screenshot after capping all four points WHILE looking at a particularly all-white area. It should be an easy matter of photoshopping after that.

I would do it for you BUT I do not have the default menus anymore (blame insane_dod for that)

Well that is unfortunate.

Well i have photoshop. I was thinking about creating a real quick map with a sold black wall and taking all the pics from that.

I can easily photoshop that. Thanks, ill try it, althought i wished it was a little easier. :P
