You said "Source textures in 1.3" I assumed that meant DoD:S textures in 1.3...

If that's not what you meant, then ok. You should however, change your topic title or you're going to give people the wrong idea about what you're asking.

EDIT:

I think I see what you're asking.

This is Twinke Masta's Colt 1911 (his model and skin) that was originally released for CS:S and DoD:S.

It's been converted to DoD 1.3

What you've described (and even using official source textures) is not illegal as long as it's for your own personal use. And there is nothing illegal about GCFScape.

If you have a modern video card with plenty of RAM, using larger textures isn't going to slow Half-Life down too much (besides, who doesn't have a computer that can run it at like 100 fps these days?).

Either way it would take a decent amount of work and know how to reskin old models with new skins or retexture old maps with new textures.

The trouble with that is, eventually people start to want to release that stuff. That's where the problems arise, because no one has a way to know who has what. You can't say: "Only download this (DoD:S textures for 1.3) if you own DoD & DoD:S"

It's a touchy subject.

to clarify what Guyver was saying:

Valve owns those materials.
They are a money-making entity.
This is their message board.
This has been discussed before and was stamped with a big NEGATIVE by the forum moderators.

I will try to be specific:
Valve tossed a LOT of money into developing the second generation of a game. About the ONLY really strong selling point of that 2nd generation game is the advanced graphics. If a mod for DOD using DOD:S graphics was indeed made and posted in a PUBLIC forum, there is no way you could control who downloaded it, whether they bought DOD:S already or not. In a money making company's eyes, they just got product without paying anything.

And before this goes any further, don't bother with asking for ANY kind of conversion of
*Red Orchestra
*Medal of Honor
*Call of Duty
In the official DOD forums.

Thats the funny thing. They converted half-life source, half-life deathmatch source, and they did it as an example of how easy it would be to convert your mod. I wondered why they didn't convert DoD-GS to source, it would be easy and we would get ragdolls and physics. Then I realized if that happened all the source textures and models would get converted over and then alot of people would just play that instead.

You need to be more clear about the part I bolded. I'm still not even sure what you're asking. It sounds to me like your being vague, because you know what you're asking is illegal.

EDIT: What exactly are you wanting converted? ...and by that I mean provide a link.

Not many people play it anymore though, and they're aren't many servers.
